Ignis et Spiritus

Uppdaterad / revised 2017-08-19

Black and cold,
empty and alone.
Nobody home.

Fire is the life-giving heat
in the black stove,
the spirit of the house.

Here was the place
of telling long stories
and fairy tales
during dark winter evenings.

Fire is light and closely connected with
all kinds of Divine Spirits

but also with burning horror
for those who have done something wrong.

Fire can be the soft candle
in the dark room,
the tiny flame
that helps you find your way.

Fire is the mighty sun
and it is the campfire
when the sun has gone to sleep

and the bright stars in the night.

Fire likes to be
happily dancing in the wind.

The fluctuations of your inner fire
are felt in the heart.

What does the sun feel
when it casts out its solar flares?

The most strong and sudden fire in nature
is caused by Thor, the god of Thunder.

First, we have the low-pitched singing of the thunder
when it is hovering over the horizon.

The dark sounds make an echo
that is bouncing between the mountains.

Actually, nothing happens,
nothing at all.
It is just a sound
that is rolling over the sky far away,
but one can feel
that there is a possibility
for something to happen.

Just wait and you will see...

Boom!
Lightning strikes!

and maybe something catches fire!

The next day the air is fresh
and the whole atmosphere
has changed
for the better

... or the worse.

It depends on whether you feel
cleaned up, having new energy,

or simply cleaned away
having now no place to live.

Thor has his own preferences.
